ICU RN Job Details – Travel Nursing in Nashville, TN

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570 - $1,650 (travel nurse pay)
• Location: Nashville, TN 37207 – Music City; excellent Nashville healthcare and local amenities
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 13, 2026 – July 13, 2026)
• Shift: 12 Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit: NVICU (16 beds) – intensive care/critical care unit
• Patient Ratios: Typically 2:1, may vary based on acuity and staffing
• Dress Code: Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms)

ICU RN Requirements – Critical Care Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (state of assignment)
• ACLS and BLS certifications (current)
• Minimum 1 year recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Ability to float to med/surg units as needed to support hospital staffing
• Proficiency with Meditech clinical documentation system

ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver attentive, compassionate critical care to ICU patients and support families
• Monitor and manage patients using advanced equipment: ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, EV1000
• Perform ICU procedures including insertion/care of central lines, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, chest tubes, and EVDs as appropriate
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, unit secretaries, and nurse externs
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Meditech and adhere to unit policies and protocols
• Participate in self-scheduling and meet minimum weekend shift requirements
• Float to other units as needed to support hospital operations and patient care
