Travel Nurse – Labor & Delivery RN: 13-week contract on the scenic Oregon coast. Join the Family Birth Center in beautiful Coos Bay, Oregon, as a Labor & Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) and deliver exceptional perinatal care in a supportive, collaborative setting.
Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 – $2,130
- Location: Coos Bay, OR (97420) — Oregon travel nursing / Oregon nursing jobs
- Setting: Family Birth Center – LDRP unit (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 21, 2026 – July 21, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour shifts (Days: 07:00–19:30 or Nights: 19:00–07:30), schedule dependent
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Employment Type: Travel / Travel Nurse – Labor & Delivery RN
Qualifications & Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery (L&D) nursing experience — L&D RN or OB nurse preferred
- Current BLS (AHA) certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Fetal heart monitoring experience (EFM) and knowledge of electronic fetal monitoring
- Experience with OBIX and EPIC electronic health record systems highly preferred
- EFM and STABLE certifications highly preferred
- Oregon RN license (does not need to be active at time of submission, but must be willing to obtain)
- Resume and skills checklist (within 1 year) required for submission
Key Responsibilities (L&D RN / OB Nurse)
- Provide comprehensive perinatal care in the LDRP unit, including OB triage, outpatient testing, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery care
- Apply the nursing process within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing
- Perform fetal surveillance using OBIX and document accurately in EPIC electronic health records
- Teach and support patients, significant others, and support persons about care, procedures, and newborn care
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the medical record (EPIC)
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate overall patient care — strong communication and teamwork skills required
- No circulating or scrubbing in the OR required
