- Position: Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) / OB Nurse
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,580 – $2,720
- Location: Bemidji, MN (Zip: 56601) – Northern Minnesota nursing job
- Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
- Hours per Week: 36 hours
- Shift: 12-hour Day/Night rotating shifts (every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays)
- Care Setting: Acute care – Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Special Care Nursery (SCN)
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of OB / Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience — experienced L&D Registered Nurse or OB nurse preferred
- Active Minnesota RN license (compact license holders: verify state eligibility)
- BLS (AHA) required
- ACLS (AHA) required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- EPIC One Chart experience preferred (or experience with other EMR systems)
- Ability to work in Labor and Postpartum units and float to Med-Surg & Tele as needed
- Comfortable providing care for postpartum, stable antepartum, newborns, GYN, and Med-Surg overflow patients
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care for Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and stable Antepartum patients as a hands-on L&D RN
- Caring for newborns and assisting as 2nd RN in the Special Care Nursery (SCN) when required
- Float to Med-Surg and Telemetry units as a supportive resource and to manage overflow
- Use clinical systems and equipment including EPIC One Chart, Omnicell, Philips vitals monitors, bladder scanner, Medula breast pumps, Responder 5 call light system, and Medfusion pumps
- Adhere to AWHONN nurse-to-patient ratio standards and hospital policies for maternal-newborn care
- Participate in unit and equipment orientation on first day and collaborate closely with CNAs, ward clerks, charge nurses, resource nurses, and LPN scrub nurses
- Maintain professional appearance: navy blue scrubs and facility badge in/out
