Job Details – Travel Nurse (PCU RN)

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 – $2,040
• Location: Columbus, OH (zip 43210) — Columbus nursing jobs, Ohio healthcare jobs, vibrant urban setting with arts, dining, and parks
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 17, 2026)
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 36 hours/week; every other weekend required
• Unit: 17 North Mixed Acuity – Stepdown/PCU, 32 beds (avg census 25–32)
• Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN

Top Qualifications (PCU RN / Stepdown)

• Minimum 2 years recent progressive care (PCU/Stepdown) experience — telemetry required
• Strong dysrhythmia interpretation/management skills; telemetry monitoring experience
• Experience with IV therapy, blood product administration, central/PICC line care
• Familiarity with rapid response/code teams, respiratory support, wound care, and perioperative patient care
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Valid Ohio RN license (compact license accepted) — Ohio nursing license preferred
• Epic electronic health record (EHR) charting experience required
• Graduated from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
• First-time travel nurses welcome
• Two professional references required (one from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Primary Responsibilities – Progressive Care RN

• Deliver high-quality PCU-level nursing care to adult patients with diverse medical diagnoses and pre/post-surgical needs
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and dysrhythmias; implement appropriate interventions per protocol
• Administer IV therapies and blood products; manage central and PICC lines and heparin protocols
• Participate effectively on rapid response and code teams
• Provide respiratory support, comprehensive wound care, and post-op nursing care
• Float to other units within the organization as needed to support patient care and staffing
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, IV team, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Epic charting system (EHR)
