- Position: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse / Travel Nurse (Night Shift)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 – $2,040

- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Setting: PCU / Med-Surg Transitional Beds — progressive care nursing, acute care RN
- Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
- Parking: Multiple convenient and budget-friendly permit options available for agency staff
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active Ohio RN license (compact license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience in med-surg, PCU, telemetry, or acute care
- BLS required; IV certification required
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- EPIC EMR experience preferred (experience with hospital charting/clinical documentation)
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and multitasking skills essential for PCU RNs
- Previous travel nursing experience a plus (travel nurse assignments, hospital RN jobs)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Two professional references required (one must be from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care in a progressive care / med-surg transitional unit
- Start and manage IVs; administer medications safely per hospital policy
- Monitor patient vitals, telemetry when applicable, and patient responses to treatment
- Perform med-surg procedures: Foley catheter care, PICC line assistance, IV antibiotics administration, chest tube management, paracentesis support, and other PCU skills
- Educate patients and families on treatments, discharge planning, and self-care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy, Case Management, etc.)
- Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate, timely charting and handoffs
- Float to lower-acuity units within the organization as needed
- Maintain patient safety, comply with hospital policies, and uphold quality standards
