Job Details — Urgent Care NP (Roanoke Rapids, NC)

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,980 – $4,270
• Setting: Urgent Care Center (solo provider shifts)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 13-week contract (with potential extension)
• Shift: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week
• Patient Ages: Adults and Pediatrics (6 months+)
• Average Encounters/Shift: ~40 patients
• EMR: Epic (training provided)
• Travel & Lodging: Mileage reimbursement only

Job Requirements — Nurse Practitioner (Urgent Care)

• Minimum 1 year experience in urgent care or acute care settings (urgent care NP experience preferred)
• Board Certification required (NP Boards)
• Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification or equivalent acute care NP certification
• Active NC DEA license and state NP licensure (or ability to obtain)
• BLS certification required
• Comfort and ability to treat adults and pediatric patients (6 months+)
• Proficiency or willingness to train on Epic EMR (training scheduled)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for patient and staff interaction
• Availability for onboarding and EMR training (set Wednesdays)

Responsibilities — Urgent Care Provider Duties

• Serve as the solo provider in the Urgent Care Center, delivering efficient, evidence-based urgent and acute care
• Assess, diagnose, and manage urgent care conditions for adults and children (6 months+)
• Perform common urgent care procedures: incision & drainage, laceration repair, ear irrigation, wound care, splinting, suturing
• Document all patient encounters and treatment plans using Epic EMR
• Maintain clinical standards and a compassionate patient-centered approach
• Collaborate with on-site staff including Center Manager, Medical Assistants, and Patient Service Associates
• Participate in required onboarding, continuing education, and Epic training sessions
