Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,940 – $3,160
- Location: Fairbanks, Alaska (99701) — travel pharmacist job in Fairbanks, AK
- Assignment Duration: 26 weeks
- Employment Type: Travel Pharmacist, On-Site, Inpatient Hospital Pharmacy
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift: 8-hour shifts (start times vary: 7am, 8am, 9am, 10am, or 11am; variable days including weekends)
- Holiday Shifts: As needed, typically shorter (4-5 hours)
- Free Housing: 1-bedroom unit provided (pet units not available)
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Pharmacist in a hospital or inpatient pharmacy setting
- Experience with standard hospital pharmacy orders and product verification
- Alaska Pharmacist license or temporary AK license (must be in hand at submission)
- Preferred: experience with Cerner and hospital pharmacy systems
- Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Two completed supervisory references required with application
Key Responsibilities
- Process, review, and verify inpatient hospital pharmacy orders accurately and efficiently
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations, hospital policies, and patient safety standards
- Provide professional customer service to patients, nursing staff, and providers
- Adapt to variable shift schedules and participate in holiday coverage as needed
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment in the hospital pharmacy
