Qualifications & Certifications

• Active RN license (state-specific or compact RN license acceptable)
• Minimum 2 years recent experience in an EP Lab, cardiac electrophysiology, or similar cardiac specialty (Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience highly relevant)
• BLS (AHA required)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Ability to work holidays, weekends, and float as needed
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and team-collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Electrophysiology Lab, assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiac electrophysiology procedures
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, ensuring patient safety, hemodynamic stability, and comfort
• Collaborate closely with electrophysiologists, cardiology staff, technologists, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality cardiac care
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and assist with device management as required during EP procedures
• Document patient assessments, intra-procedural interventions, and post-procedure outcomes accurately in the medical record
• Maintain a sterile field and safe procedural environment according to hospital and infection control policies
• Educate patients and families on procedures, expectations, and post-care instructions to support optimal recovery
