MRI Technologist – Travel Assignment (13-week) | Pittsfield, MA (01201)

Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,510 – $2,700 (competitive travel MRI technologist pay)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: Varied 8-hour shifts; must be able and willing to work any shift as needed (Mon–Fri 7:00am–3:30pm and/or 3:00pm–11:30pm; Sat–Sun 7:00am–11:30pm)
• On-Site: Hospital Radiology Unit (inpatient/outpatient imaging)
• Call: Possible call coverage required
• Holiday & Weekend: Part of shift/holiday rotation required
• Orientation: 8 hours (non-billable)

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of current MRI experience (hospital/clinical setting preferred)
• Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (MR) Certification — required
• Active American Heart Association BLS Certification — required
• Experience with GE HDXT 16.0 and 23.0 MRI equipment (GE MRI tech experience preferred)
• Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred (experience with PACS/EHR systems helpful)
• Must be willing to work weekends, evenings, and take call as needed
• Must have own vehicle and cannot reside within 50 miles of facility
• Work history, skills checklist (current to 1 year), and 1 supervisory signed reference (from past 2 years) required
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application (maximum 5 days)
• Voicemail must be set up on phone for facility contact

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI scans for approximately 9 patients per shift, ensuring diagnostic image quality and patient comfort
• Operate GE HDXT MRI equipment and adhere to MRI safety protocols (MR safety, screening, and patient positioning)
• Collaborate with another MRI Technologist or Tech Aide; never work solo
• Maintain accurate patient records, imaging documentation, and follow hospital radiology workflow/PACS procedures
• Participate in weekend, evening, holiday, and call rotations as needed
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, infection control)
