• Role: Travel Respiratory Therapist / Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Setting: Hospital – Respiratory Care Unit (acute care, ventilator management)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (5/31/2026 – 8/29/2026)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: 12-hour nights (Days/Eves rotate; every other weekend required)
• EMR: EPIC (experience with EPIC preferred)
• Equipment: PB980 Ventilator, Hamilton T1 Transport Ventilator

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in an acute care hospital setting with ventilator experience
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy
• Active Massachusetts Respiratory Therapist License
• NBRC certification (CRT or RRT) — RRT strongly preferred
• Competent in arterial blood gas (ABG) draws and interpretation
• Familiarity with mechanical ventilation management (PB980, Hamilton T1 or similar)
• Compliance with onboarding health and background requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care and ventilator management to patients across Med/Surg, ICU, ED, Labor & Delivery, and Level 2B Nursery
• Operate and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators and respiratory equipment (PB980, Hamilton T1)
• Draw and analyze arterial blood gases; adjust therapy per protocol and physician orders
• Document respiratory assessments, treatments, and ventilator changes in EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (nursing, physicians, RT leadership) to deliver safe, high-quality acute care
• Participate in shift rotations (Days/Eves/Nights) and provide every other weekend coverage as scheduled
