• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,310 – $2,480

• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
• Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (07:00 – 17:30)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Call Requirement: None
• Weekend Requirement: None
• Floating: Occasional float to pre/post-op and to Dowagiac on Mondays for surgical cases
• Scrub Color: Provided

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room RNFA or RN First Assistant experience required (OR/perioperative experience preferred)
• Valid Registered Nurse license (Michigan or compact) — pending accepted; must apply within 24 hours of offer
• Certifications required: RNFA certification, ACLS, BLS
• EPIC charting experience required (perioperative documentation experience a plus)
• Previous charge experience required
• Community hospital and general surgery/CVOR experience preferred
• Must live at least 50 miles away from facility (no local candidates)
• COVID-19 and seasonal flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to complete up to 8 hours of pre-start modules within 1 week of signing

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced intraoperative support as an RNFA, assisting surgeons in open, endoscopic/laparoscopic, and CVOR procedures
• Perform perioperative duties across acute hospital OR, ambulatory surgery center, and specialty surgery settings
• Float to pre-op and post-op units and affiliate hospitals as needed based on surgical volume
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including anesthesia, surgical techs, and rapid response teams
• Care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations with professional communication and clinical judgment
• Maintain accurate EPIC documentation and uphold facility policies and surgical safety protocols
