Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,300 – $2,420 (estimated for Cath Lab travel nurse)
• Location: Lakewood, CA 90712 — Los Angeles County, Southern California
• Setting: On-site, Cardiac Cath Lab / Interventional Cardiology
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (short-term travel RN assignment)
• Shift: Day shifts, 4 x 10-hour days (07:30 – 18:00); Monday–Friday, with one weekday off. Start times may vary (occasional 06:30 starts).
• Start Date: April 27, 2026

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year recent Cath Lab RN experience in adult interventional cardiology
• Active California RN license (must be in-hand at time of application; EMSA not accepted)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• BSN strongly preferred
• Experience with Epic electronic health record (documented in work history)
• Previous travel nursing experience required (travel RN experience preferred)
• COVID-19 vaccine and booster required (no exemptions)
• Annual flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Two (2) supervisor references required
• Preferred: RCIS, CCRN, or cath lab certification and prior interventional cardiology procedural experience

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the Cath Lab for diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations (adult patients)
• Perform and assist with left and right heart catheterizations and pulmonary artery (Swan-Ganz) monitoring
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation; recognize and manage dysrhythmias and hemodynamic changes
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary cardiology team, interventional cardiologists, and other clinicians to deliver optimal patient outcomes
• Document all patient care, procedures, and interventions accurately using Epic
• Adhere to hospital policies, infection control protocols, and patient safety standards
• Participate in unit orientation and complete required education modules for travel nursing assignments
