Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,380 – $2,550
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 17, 2026)
- Setting: Nuclear Medicine Department, 495-bed acute care hospital
- Shift: 8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday (start times vary between 6:00am and 8:30am)
- Hours per Week: 36
- On-Call/Weekend Requirements: None
- Location: Winchester, VA 22601 — Shenandoah Valley / Northern Virginia region
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) in hospital or clinical settings
- ARRT certification (Nuclear Medicine)
- BLS (AHA only)
- Virginia Nuclear Medicine Technologist license required (VA temporary license acceptable to start)
- Ability to work independently, manage imaging workflows, and respond to consultations as part of a mobile team
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR preferred; strong documentation and patient communication skills
Core Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging procedures and therapeutic nuclear medicine studies per physician orders
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain nuclear medicine and gamma camera equipment following safety and QA protocols
- Ensure patient safety, radiation safety compliance, and patient comfort throughout procedures
- Accurately document procedures, doses, and patient information in EPIC EMR and departmental records
- Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
- Follow hospital policies, including professional dress code (Caribbean Blue scrubs)
