Provide high-quality emergency nursing care as a Travel ER RN at a busy 38-bed Emergency Department and Level III Trauma Center in Tucson, AZ. This travel nurse opportunity is ideal for experienced emergency nurses seeking short-term contracts, exposure to trauma/stroke/STEMI cases, and the chance to live in Southern Arizona.
Job Details
- Location: Tucson, AZ 85741 (Tucson nursing jobs / Arizona travel nurse)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3 shifts per week — Night Shift ER RN
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 – $1,770
- Setting: Emergency Department — 38 beds; Level III Trauma Center; Stroke & STEMI receiving
- Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse, ER nurse jobs)
- Scrub Colors: Black
- EMR: Cerner (Cerner experience required)
Job Requirements
- Active RN license (state-required) — ER RN / Emergency Department RN
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience
- Experience with Cerner EMR required
- Willingness to float to other units as needed
- Charge Nurse experience preferred (additional compensation available)
- Must be able to start within 2 weeks of offer acceptance
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate emergency nursing care using the Nursing Process
- Perform rapid assessment, triage, stabilization, and ongoing management of patients in a fast-paced ED
- Apply critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership when developing and implementing patient care plans
- Maintain and update clinical competencies through continuing education and on-the-job training
- Delegate and supervise patient care activities based on staff education and experience; provide direction and oversight to assigned personnel
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and the state Nurse Practice Act
