Job Details / Travel RN Assignment

• Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Registered Nurse, Travel RN)
• Location: Mayfield Heights, OH 44124 — Cleveland, Ohio area (Ohio nursing jobs)
• Unit / Setting: Med/Surg Telemetry Unit (5 Seidman) — telemetry monitoring / cardiac monitoring
• Start Date: May 15, 2026
• End Date: August 14, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights, 3 x 12-hour shifts (7:00pm – 7:00am) — night shift nursing
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 – $2,130 (competitive travel nurse pay)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months recent, permanent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience prior to travel (Med/Surg RN, Telemetry RN)
• Active Ohio RN license or Compact State RN license in hand (Registered Nurse licensure)
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred (stroke/neurology experience a plus)
• One supervisory reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) in specialty required
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation (telemetry proficiency)

Responsibilities / Clinical Duties

• Deliver high-quality patient care to adult patients on a busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit (patient care, clinical assessment)
• Monitor, assess, and document patient condition and progress using EHR / electronic health record systems
• Perform cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation; recognize arrhythmias and escalate per protocol
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered (medication administration, IV therapy)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members—physicians, RRTs, therapists, case management—to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up (patient education)
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR charting)
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives (continuous improvement)
