Job Details (Travel Nurse - ER RN)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840 - $1,940
- Location: Santa Fe, NM 87505 — New Mexico nursing jobs / Santa Fe healthcare
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (travel assignment)
- Shift: 12 Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) — Night shift ER RN
- Hours per Week: 36
- Start Date: May 4, 2026
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On Call Requirement: Voluntary
- Floating Requirement: Yes — may float to other units during low census
- Role Type: Travel Nurse / Emergency Department RN / ER RN
Required Qualifications (ER Nurse / Registered Nurse)
- Minimum 1 year of recent emergency nursing (ER) experience — trauma and acute care experience preferred
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Current New Mexico RN license or Compact state RN license
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- ACLS Certification (AHA)
- PALS Certification (AHA) or ENPC
- TNCC or ATCN required (Trauma Nursing Core Course / Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses)
- CPI or equivalent de-escalation/safety training preferred
- Ability to manage emergency/crisis situations, perform physically demanding tasks, and work a fast-paced ED environment
Key Responsibilities (Emergency Department RN)
- Provide safe, efficient patient care for ED patients across the lifespan, consistent with emergency nursing standards
- Perform triage, assessment, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring of acute and trauma patients
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency interventions per protocol and physician orders
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with physicians, multidisciplinary staff, patients, and families
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record and maintain patient rights and confidentiality
- Adapt to varied shifts, high-acuity situations, and floating assignments to other units as needed
- Participate in quality improvement, unit safety initiatives, and ongoing professional development in emergency nursing
