Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT preferred)
• Active Ohio RRT license in hand at time of application (Ohio RRT jobs)
• NBRC certification (active and in hand)
• AHA BLS certification (active and in hand)
• CRT or RRT accepted
• Two professional references from a manager, supervisor, ANM, or director in the specialty (from assignments in the past 12 months)
• Nicotine-free (facility is smoke-free; negative nicotine drug screen required)
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Must complete BCI/FBI fingerprinting within 48 hours of signing contract

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients in a hospital/pulmonary unit setting
• Provide ventilator management, oxygen therapy, airway management, and emergency respiratory interventions
• Perform respiratory and neuro diagnostics, including ABGs, pulmonary function testing, and other pulmonary diagnostics
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (nursing, physicians, pulmonary specialists) to optimize patient outcomes
• Float to other Cleveland Clinic facilities as needed and provide consistent clinical coverage
• Work weekends and follow scheduled night shift rotation as required
• Maintain accurate documentation, adhere to hospital protocols, and participate in orientation and annual competency modules
