• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,500 – $1,620
• Position: Travel Respiratory Therapist / Hospital Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Location: Sylvania, Ohio (43560) — Northwest Ohio / Toledo area
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour days
• Hours per Week: 36
• Start Date: ASAP

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Minimum 1 year of hospital-based respiratory therapy experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience with ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and aerosol/nebulizer treatments
• Strong ability to work independently and collaborate with a multidisciplinary acute care team
• Excellent communication, patient education, and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities

• Provide intensive respiratory care, ventilator management, and patient transport as medically prescribed
• Evaluate respiratory patients and recommend evidence-based treatment plans
• Administer physician-prescribed respiratory treatments using ventilatory equipment, oxygen delivery systems, aerosol, and nebulizer devices
• Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, oximetry, capnography monitoring, and pulmonary function testing
• Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain ventilators and other respiratory equipment
• Perform arterial punctures, monitor ventilation efficiency, and document therapy responses accurately
• Conduct routine review of chest x-rays, perform 12-lead EKGs, and assist with bronchoscopy and tracheostomy care as needed
• Provide patient and family education on treatments, tests, and home respiratory equipment
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency respiratory interventions according to BLS and ACLS protocols
• Communicate effectively with physicians and clinical staff and ensure thorough shift hand-offs
• Maintain accurate therapy charging, data entry, and compliance with lab/testing policies
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of respiratory care practice
