Job Details — Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,730 - $1,860
• Location: Fond du Lac, WI 54935 (Fond du Lac County) — Wisconsin respiratory therapy jobs
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital — Respiratory Therapy Unit (Emergency Department & Special Care Nursery)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 11, 2026 – August 10, 2026)
• Shift: Night shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts (18:30 – 07:00) — night shift RRT role
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Coverage: Every 3rd weekend required
• Travel Contract: Locals not accepted (must live outside a 70-mile radius)

Qualifications — Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

• Minimum 1 year of recent RRT experience in a hospital setting (acute care/ED/SCN experience preferred)
• Travel experience required — first-time travelers not accepted
• Valid State Respiratory Therapist License (must be eligible for Wisconsin licensure)
• Required Certifications: RRT credential, ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS
• Experience with EPIC charting system and accurate respiratory documentation
• Clinical competency across all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics
• Ability to shave for mask fit testing (no exceptions)
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical or religious exemptions only)

Responsibilities — Respiratory Care & Airway Management

• Deliver comprehensive respiratory care in the Emergency Department and Special Care Nursery as a hospital respiratory therapist
• Perform airway management and procedures: arterial blood gas sampling, intubation assist, tracheostomy care, CPAP/BiPAP setup
• Manage mechanical ventilation and noninvasive ventilation (V60, G5, Puritan Bennett) and neonatal support (Bubble CPAP, Airvo, Lumis)
• Respond to respiratory emergencies, rapid response calls, and participate in high-risk deliveries
• Treat a broad range of diagnoses including COPD, respiratory failure, CHF-related pulmonary edema, asthma, and pneumonia
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized respiratory equipment and provide patient/family education on respiratory therapies
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams: Nursing, Physical Therapy, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC; adhere to hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols
• Participate in required holiday and weekend rotation as scheduled
