Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Telemetry, or acute care Med-Surg setting
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Ability to float between PCU, Telemetry, and Med/Surg units as needed
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and acute care nursing skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care as a PCU nurse, including monitoring and managing intermediate-acuity patients
• Float to Telemetry and Med-Surg units as assigned, adapting to varying patient ratios (PCU 1:4-5, Tele/MS 1:6)
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, responses to treatment, and care plan updates
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, therapists, case management) to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Provide patient and family education, discharge planning support, and patient advocacy
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, documentation standards, and safety protocols
