Job Requirements

• Active Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT required)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital setting
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (night shift RT experience preferred)
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills
• Ability to meet travel assignment credentialing and any state licensure requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care in accordance with physician orders, hospital protocols, and best practices
• Perform assessments, respiratory treatments, and ongoing monitoring for patients with acute and chronic respiratory disorders
• Manage mechanical ventilation and ventilator weaning; perform ABG analysis and interpret results
• Deliver oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, airway management, and advanced respiratory interventions as needed
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment and ventilators
• Collaborate with physicians, ICU nurses, emergency clinicians, and the interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes
• Accurately document all care in the electronic medical record in a timely manner
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide critical respiratory interventions (code response, rapid response)
