Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,580 – $2,720
- Location: Hyannis, MA (Cape Cod), 02601 — travel nurse position
- Setting: ICU / CVICU (may float to Med/Surg Tele units as needed)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/26/2026 – End: 8/22/2026)
- Hours: 36 hours per week (Guaranteed)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:30am), every other weekend, rotating holidays, unpaid lunch
- Role: Travel CVICU RN / Cardiac ICU Nurse / Critical Care Nurse
Qualifications (Job Requirements)
- Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU or cardiac ICU experience required — critical care nurse experience preferred
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; active RN license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Successful completion of CCHC Pharmacology and Basic Arrhythmia exams prior to start
- Demonstrated skills in hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and intracranial pressure monitoring
- Preferred: BSN, CCRN certification, TCAR, De-escalation Certification
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive CVICU patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Administer and monitor medications, titrate vasoactive infusions, and assess patient responses
- Manage ventilators and advanced cardiac monitoring; perform hemodynamic assessments
- Act as charge nurse when assigned; demonstrate proficiency in computerized nursing documentation and informatics
- Coordinate and communicate care plans with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff
- Maintain accurate and current patient records and document assessments throughout admission and discharge planning
- Serve as a clinical resource for orientation and staff teaching; participate in quality monitoring and performance improvement
- Adhere to hospital safety protocols, blood/body fluid policies, and professional confidentiality standards
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
