• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30); every other weekend and holiday rotation as needed
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,050 – $2,160 (competitive pay for travel nurses)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent OBGYN, maternal fetal medicine, or Maternal Special Care RN experience (antepartum/postpartum experience preferred)
• Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission) — Ohio nursing license
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring (electronic fetal monitoring / EFM)
• Proficiency with Epic charting system (Epic experience preferred)
• Skilled in dysrhythmia interpretation (telemetry RN skills)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Ability to float to different units within the organization as needed
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to antepartum and postpartum patients, including telemetry/continuous pulse oximetry monitoring
• Manage complex maternal conditions: postpartum magnesium therapy, anticoagulation, antihypertensives, and insulin drips
• Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate patterns and dysrhythmias; perform electronic fetal monitoring
• Assist with high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and sterile speculum exams; support OB/GYN teams during procedures
• Provide breastfeeding/lactation support, parent education, and discharge teaching for postpartum patients
• Perform and assist with procedures such as amnioinfusion, epidural anesthesia support, forceps/vacuum extraction, and tubal ligation
• Maintain and care for central lines, start and maintain IVs, and manage wound/incision care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV team, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and case management
• Adhere to infection control, isolation precautions, and hospital safety protocols
• Participate in scheduled weekend and holiday rotations as required
