Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years combined training and clinical experience as an Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist / EEG Technologist
- Graduate of an approved Electroneurodiagnostic Technology program or equivalent clinical certification and patient care experience
- Registered EEG Technologist (R.EEGT.) certification required
- BLS certification required
- Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) charting preferred
- Pediatric experience preferred; experience in Level 1 Trauma, Adult ICU, NICU, PICU, and ED settings a plus
- Competency in electrode placement, ECI brain death studies, portable and sleep-deprived EEG, long-term/video monitoring, and ICU/continuous EEG
- Must pass pre-assignment telemetry exam (adult and pediatric rhythm identification)
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform neurodiagnostic procedures: routine EEG, long-term/video monitoring, continuous EEG (cEEG), evoked potentials, and nerve conduction studies
- Prepare patients and obtain relevant history; adjust protocols for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
- Place electrodes accurately and ensure high-quality recordings for clinical interpretation
- Conduct ICU, intraoperative, bedside, and outpatient EEG studies using specialized systems (Natus Neuroworks XLTEK, Zeto)
- Analyze recordings in real time to ensure validity and interpretability; collaborate with neurologists and senior staff for clinical correlation
- Float to other units based on staffing needs and support emergency/trauma cases when required
