Required Qualifications — Pharmacist Jobs (Must-Haves)
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital pharmacy experience (clinical pharmacist or staff pharmacist)
- Current State Pharmacist Licensure — Oklahoma (or eligible for Oklahoma licensure)
- Successful completion of educational requirements for state licensure (Doctor of Pharmacy or equivalent)
- EPIC experience required — hospital pharmacy/clinical systems
- BLS certification (if required by state or facility)
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interdisciplinary teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities — Acute Care / Hospital Pharmacy
- Provide safe, accurate medication order verification, preparation, labeling, and dispensing for inpatient acute care patients
- Manage parenteral and non-parenteral medication processes and aseptic compounding when applicable
- Monitor patient drug therapy for contraindications, interactions, dosing appropriateness, and renal/hepatic adjustments
- Perform medication reconciliation at admission and discharge; provide discharge counseling to patients and families
- Support antimicrobial stewardship, pharmacokinetic dosing, and anticoagulation management/monitoring
- Maintain compliance with Federal and State pharmacy laws, hospital policies, and accreditation standards
- Oversee inventory management, controlled substance handling, and removal of expired medications
- Participate in Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee activities, formulary management, and quality assurance programs
- Conduct monthly inspections of patient care units and pharmacy areas; maintain accurate documentation and records
- Provide training and education to pharmacy technicians, staff pharmacists, and multidisciplinary clinical teams
Preferred Skills & Certifications (Competitive)
- Experience with hospital EMR and order entry systems (EPIC) and clinical decision support tools
- Prior travel pharmacist or per diem hospital pharmacy experience
- Additional certifications (BCPS, PGY1/PGY2 residency) are a plus
