Mammography Technologist – Travel Assignment | Salem, MA (01970)

Mammography Technologist (ARRT) – Salem, MA. 13-week travel assignment (05/31/2026–08/29/2026); must hold Massachusetts Radiology and Mammography license, ARRT certification, and documented digital mammography & tomosynthesis training. Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,490 – $2,670
• Location: Salem, MA (01970) and offsite locations within a 10-mile radius
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (05/31/2026 – 08/29/2026)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: Primarily Mon–Fri 7:30am–4:00pm; Saturday shifts possible (8:00am–12:00pm or 7:45am–11:45am); shift lengths may vary (8, 10, or 12 hours)
• Employment Type: Travel, On-site

Mammography Technologist Requirements

• Current Massachusetts Radiology and Mammography License
• Current ARRT certification (Mammography preferred)
• 8 hours documented digital mammography training
• 8 hours documented tomosynthesis (3D mammography) training
• 15 hours of CEUs in the past 3 years
• Documentation of mammography statistics from the past 2 years
• At least 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist or breast imaging technologist
• Experience with stereotactic biopsies preferred but not required
• Flexibility to work multiple sites and adapt to varying schedules

Mammography Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms using digital mammography and tomosynthesis
• Provide coverage at Salem Hospital and nearby offsite imaging locations within a 10-mile radius
• Assist with patient positioning, image acquisition, and quality control to meet regulatory standards
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care and clear patient instructions during breast imaging procedures
• Maintain accurate records, mammography logs, and documentation to comply with safety and quality requirements
• Work independently and as part of a collaborative radiology/imaging team
• Adapt to varying shift lengths and schedules to support department staffing needs
