Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 – $2,090
• Location: Barberton, Ohio (44203) — Akron area; Ohio radiology job
• Position: Radiologic Technologist / Rad Tech / Radiographer (Travel Radiology)
• Setting: Diagnostic Radiology; exposure to CT and other imaging modalities
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 3, 2026 – August 1, 2026)
• Schedule: First Shift, 40 hours/week (7:30 AM – 3:00 PM)
• Shift Duration: 8 Hour Days
• Weekend Requirement: Must work every other weekend

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) experience in a hospital or outpatient setting
• Graduate of an A.M.A. approved school of Radiologic Technology
• Registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Licensed as a Radiographer by the State of Ohio (Ohio radiology license)
• Current CPR (BLS) certification
• Competency in select CT procedures and familiarity with multiple radiology modalities (CT technologist skills preferred)
• Ability to calibrate and operate digital radiography equipment, position patients, and apply/adjust restraining devices safely
• Strong communication skills with patients, physicians, and multidisciplinary hospital staff
• Experience with PACS, radiology information systems (RIS), and electronic health records (EHR) is a plus
• Commitment to patient-centered care and ability to work with diverse patient populations

Key Responsibilities

• Operate radiologic and CT equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images following department protocols and radiation safety guidelines
• Perform select CT procedures and support additional imaging modalities as trained
• Position patients for optimal imaging, apply/adjust restraining devices, and ensure patient comfort and safety
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot imaging equipment; report equipment issues promptly
• Process and manage patient records in PACS/RIS to ensure timely and accurate results
• Initiate CPR and follow emergency protocols when required
• Communicate exam results and patient status clearly to physicians and radiology team members
• Adhere to infection control, HIPAA, and radiation safety standards at all times
• Collaborate with the radiology team, technologists, and clinical staff to support efficient workflow
• Perform additional duties as assigned based on training and departmental needs
