Travel Ultrasound Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel / Contract (Travel Sonographer)
• Location: Swampscott, MA – OBGYN Office (near Salem, MA 01970); Greater Boston / North Shore, Massachusetts
• Start Date: May 24, 2026
• End Date: August 22, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: Mon/Wed/Fri 8:30am–5:00pm; Tue/Thu 8:30am–3:00pm (8-hour days)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,920 – $2,060
• Setting: Outpatient, single ultrasound room in a radiology suite
• EMR: EPIC (EPIC EMR proficiency preferred)

Key Qualifications / Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience as an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer, preferably in OB/GYN or outpatient settings
• Current RDMS-ABD and OB/GYN certification required (RDMS – OB/GYN)
• Proficiency in obstetric scanning: first, second, and third trimester exams
• Skilled in GYN and transvaginal (TV) exams
• Ability to work independently (1:1 clinician to patient ratio) and manage patient flow in a single-room setting
• Completion of required onboarding health screenings and background checks

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive OB/GYN ultrasound exams, including first-, second-, and third-trimester obstetric studies
• Conduct gynecologic and transvaginal sonography with accuracy and patient-centered communication
• Accurately document findings and patient information in EPIC EMR
• Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and infection control in an outpatient radiology environment
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and office staff to ensure efficient patient scheduling and seamless care
• Provide compassionate education and support to patients during exams
