Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Colorado RN license (compact or Colorado RN required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• At least 1 year recent PACU and OR circulate experience preferred
• Experience with orthopedic and general surgery cases (perioperative nursing experience a plus)
• Must reside at least 65 miles from the facility (local travelers not considered)
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical assessment skills

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality post-anesthesia care for patients recovering from general, regional, and monitored anesthesia
• Monitor and assess vital signs, pain, airway status, and emergence from anesthesia in the PACU
• Serve as OR circulator when needed and support pre-op patient preparation for orthopedic and general surgery cases
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to ensure safe patient handoffs and optimal outcomes
• Administer medications, manage drains/tubes, and escalate concerns per hospital policy
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to facility policies, infection control, and safety protocols
