Job Details

Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 12, 2026 – August 11, 2026)
Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,920 – $2,060 (Competitive travel surgical technologist pay)
Hours: 40 hours/week
Shift: 4 x 10-hour shifts per week with rotating call schedule
Setting: Hospital – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) / Hybrid Cath Lab
Location: Glenwood Springs, CO 81601 (Colorado travel assignment)

Job Requirements

Active Colorado Certified Surgical Tech (CST) license with DORA — required
Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist/scrub tech program
Certification in Surgical Technology from NBSTSA, AST, or NCCT
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
At least 1 year of recent CVOR / cardiovascular OR surgical technologist experience
Must live at least 75 miles from Glenwood Springs, CO (radius rule for travel assignment eligibility)

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a CVOR Surgical Technologist for cardiovascular and hybrid Cath Lab procedures, including cardiac surgery support
Prepare, set up, and maintain sterile fields, instruments, implants, and specialty surgical equipment
Anticipate surgeon needs and ensure efficient instrument transfer during procedures
Collaborate with surgeons, perioperative nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, aseptic technique, and infection control standards
Participate in rotating on-call schedule and maintain accurate perioperative documentation
