- Role: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Hospital Respiratory Therapy Unit
- Position Type: Travel Respiratory Therapist / Travel Contract
- Start Date: April 27, 2026
- End Date: July 27, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shifts: Three 12-hour day shifts per week (40 guaranteed hours)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,810 – $1,940
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active California Respiratory Care Practitioner license (required)
- Current certifications: NRP, BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Proof of negative TB test within 12 months prior to contract start date
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital setting
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills; ability to work collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Preferred Skills (not required)
- Experience with ventilator management and mechanical ventilation
- Proficiency in arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpretation
- Familiarity with pulmonary function support, aerosol therapy, and airway management
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy treatments and diagnostic procedures to patients in the hospital setting
- Manage and monitor ventilators, oxygen therapy, and airway devices as indicated
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
- Monitor and assess patient responses to therapy, adjusting care plans and interventions as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities in the medical record
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, respiratory care protocols, and regulatory standards
