Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active RN license (New Mexico or compact state) — licensed RN required for New Mexico travel nursing jobs
• At least 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in rehabilitation, acute rehab, or a similar clinical setting
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Strong communication, patient education, and interdisciplinary teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced rehab environment and support patient functional recovery

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery in the rehabilitation unit
• Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, physicians, and other clinicians to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Monitor patient progress toward rehab goals, perform assessments, and document outcomes
• Administer medications, treatments, and assistive therapies safely and accurately
• Provide patient and family education to promote independence and successful discharge planning
• Document patient care accurately, timely, and in accordance with facility policies
