• Position: Travel Occupational Therapist / OT
• Setting: Acute Rehab, Medical/Surgical (acute inpatient rehab)
• Facility Size: 12 beds
• Start Date: May 4, 2026
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (travel therapy assignment)
• Shift: 8-hour days (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM), rotating weekends
• Hours per Week: 40
• Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs
• Electronic Medical Record: Medhost, Redoc/NetHealth

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of Arizona (required)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist (preferred)
• Experience in acute rehab or medical/surgical settings is a plus (acute inpatient rehab experience preferred)
• Ability to float between acute rehab and medical/surgical units as needed
• Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills for interdisciplinary rehab care
• Comfortable documenting in Medhost and Redoc/NetHealth EMRs (experience preferred)

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment programs for patients in acute rehab and medical/surgical units
• Provide evidence-based OT interventions focused on ADLs, adaptive equipment, upper extremity function, cognitive strategies, and discharge planning
• Collaborate with physical therapists, speech therapists, nurses, case managers, and physicians to optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient progress, treatment plans, and discharge recommendations accurately using facility EMR systems
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques, home safety, and community resources
• Participate in rotating weekend coverage and adapt to facility needs by floating between units as required
