Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,090 – $2,200 (competitive travel RN pay)
- Location: San Francisco, CA 94109 — San Francisco healthcare jobs / Bay Area nursing
- Setting: Med/Surg Telemetry Transplant Unit (10W) — liver, kidney, pancreas transplant and complex GI care
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (5/18/2026 – 8/17/2026)
- Shift: Night Shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30), every other weekend required — ideal for experienced Night Shift nurses
- Hours per Week: 36
- Orientation: 36 hours including online modules (Epic charting orientation available)
Required Qualifications
- Active California RN license (required at time of submission) — California nursing jobs
- BLS certification (AHA required)
- Minimum 2 years Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience, including transplant (liver, kidney, pancreas) care
- Epic charting experience preferred (Epic experience increases placement competitiveness)
- Ability to float to other units or CPMC locations as needed
- 7-year work history verification required
- Must be available for lab work within 3–5 days of signing
- Only one holiday off approved during contract
- Locals accepted at local rate (applicants should be aware of rate differences)
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, evidence-based care to patients with liver, kidney, and pancreatic diseases, including transplant recipients
- Manage patients with complex gastrointestinal disorders on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Monitor and interpret telemetry; recognize and manage dysrhythmias; activate rapid response and code teams when necessary
- Perform peripheral line care, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and feeding tube care
- Adhere to isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and infection control standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Social Services to optimize patient outcomes
- Float to other units as census requires, demonstrating flexibility and strong clinical judgment
