Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: April 27, 2026
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,280 – $2,450
• Shift: 10-hour days, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Hours per Week: 40 (guaranteed)
• On-Call: 6–10 shifts in 6 weeks, ~1 weekend per month
• Holiday Coverage: One summer and one winter holiday as needed
• Parking: Free on-site parking
• Location: Falls Church, Virginia — close to Washington, D.C.; ideal for travel surgical tech jobs in Northern Virginia

Required Qualifications (Surgical Technologist / CST)

• Minimum 2 years recent scrub experience in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures (CABG, aortic aneurysm repair, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, MitraClip, heart/lung transplant, ECMO, VAD, redo and emergent cases)
• Adult scrub experience required; pediatric experience a plus
• Current Virginia Surgical Technologist license (required at time of submission)
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
• BLS (AHA) certification
• Strong communication, multitasking, and critical thinking skills in the OR/perioperative environment
• Willingness to participate in research protocols and float within scope when needed
• Ability to work overtime when necessary and participate in on-call rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures as a perioperative scrub tech
• Support adult (and occasional pediatric) emergent and redo cases in the operating room (OR)
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to hospital and surgical protocols for patient safety
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide scheduled weekend/holiday coverage
• Engage in ongoing professional development, department meetings, and quality improvement initiatives
