Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (June 1, 2026 – August 31, 2026)
• Setting: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) — post-operative/surgical recovery
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts (07:00 – 15:30), rotating weekends
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,300 – $2,420

Job Requirements

• Current, unencumbered Oregon RN license (required upon submission)
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification (required)
• AHA ACLS and PALS certifications (required for PACU)
• At least 1 year of previous PACU or critical care experience preferred (travel nurse experience a plus)
• Strong assessments, medication administration, and post-operative monitoring skills

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia in the PACU as a post-anesthesia care nurse
• Manage pain, administer medications, and titrate therapies per protocols
• Observe and document vital signs, airway status, level of consciousness, and patient recovery milestones
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
• Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and perioperative teams to ensure safe transitions of care
• Provide patient and family education on post-operative care, discharge instructions, and recovery expectations
