Job Details
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (June 1, 2026 – August 31, 2026)
- Setting: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) — post-operative/surgical recovery
- Shift: 8-hour day shifts (07:00 – 15:30), rotating weekends
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,300 – $2,420

Job Requirements
- Current, unencumbered Oregon RN license (required upon submission)
- Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification (required)
- AHA ACLS and PALS certifications (required for PACU)
- At least 1 year of previous PACU or critical care experience preferred (travel nurse experience a plus)
- Strong assessments, medication administration, and post-operative monitoring skills
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia in the PACU as a post-anesthesia care nurse
- Manage pain, administer medications, and titrate therapies per protocols
- Observe and document vital signs, airway status, level of consciousness, and patient recovery milestones
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
- Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and perioperative teams to ensure safe transitions of care
- Provide patient and family education on post-operative care, discharge instructions, and recovery expectations
