Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 – $1,890
• Location: Jackson, TN (zip 38301) — West Tennessee; ideal for travel nursing jobs in Tennessee and Jackson nursing jobs
• Setting: Cardiac/Progressive Care Telemetry Unit (PCU/Stepdown) — cardiac telemetry RN role
• Assignment Type: Travel Nurse – 13-week travel contract (May 11, 2026 – August 10, 2026)
• Shift: Night shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts (18:45 – 07:15)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratios: 4–5 patients per nurse
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Float: May float to other MS/Tele units and ICU (lowest acuity patients)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU/Telemetry or cardiac stepdown nursing experience
• Active RN license (Compact or Tennessee) — ideal for travel RN licensure portability
• Epic electronic health record (EHR) / Epic charting experience within the last 12 months (must be detailed on profile)
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only); Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Ability to pass Epic competency exam (one attempt)

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Cardiac/Progressive Care Telemetry (PCU) stepdown unit
• Monitor and manage cardiac drips, continuous telemetry, and dysrhythmias; perform post-cath lab and post-procedure care
• Administer medications and blood products; manage central lines and chest tubes
• Care for ventilated and tracheostomy patients as needed; perform wound care and manage surgical drains
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and implement isolation precautions/PPE
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and rapid response
• Float to other MS/Tele and ICU units as required (lowest acuity patients)
