- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,220 - $1,310
- Location: Tucson, AZ 85741
- Setting: Hospital (EXT-Other Unit) — hospital respiratory therapist role
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/4/2026, End: 8/3/2026)
- Shift: 12 Hour Days (06:30 AM – 7:00 PM), 3 shifts per week (36 hours per week)
- Employment Type: Travel Respiratory Therapist / Travel assignment
Required Qualifications
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 1 year recent hospital-based respiratory therapy experience (ICU, ED, and general floors required)
- Basic NICU and pediatric respiratory experience to support ED needs
- Strong competency in ventilator management, airway maintenance, cardiopulmonary assessment, and ABG interpretation
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely diagnostic and therapeutic cardiopulmonary services to inpatients and outpatients as a hospital respiratory therapist
- Manage mechanical ventilation, perform ventilator checks, and implement ventilator weaning protocols
- Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures, including intubations and advanced airway support
- Deliver medicated aerosols, oxygen therapy, and other respiratory treatments using medical compressed gas
- Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) collection, analysis, and clinical interpretation
- Follow department policies, physician-approved protocols, and evidence-based respiratory care guidelines
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in ICU, ED, and general floor settings to optimize patient outcomes and ensure high-quality critical care
