Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – 13-week contract in Princeton, West Virginia (zip 24740). RRT/CRT required. Travel Respiratory Therapist Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,790 – $1,920
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts (0645-1915, 1845-0715), including every other weekend
- Setting: Acute care hospital – inpatient units, Emergency Department (ED), procedural bronchoscopy support, EKGs
- Location: Princeton, West Virginia (Princeton, WV 24740) – West Virginia respiratory therapy jobs, Appalachian region
Job Requirements – Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT)
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC
- At least 1 year of experience in ER, ICU, and inpatient adult respiratory care (critical care/ventilator management)
- Pediatric experience preferred; department willing to train
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), PALS, and STABLE
- Professional appearance; any color scrubs permitted
- Must submit a copy of unexpired driver’s license
Primary Responsibilities – Respiratory Care & Critical Care
- Provide respiratory therapy across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations
- Administer breathing treatments and manage ventilators (ICU ventilator load up to 8–9 patients)
- Draw and analyze arterial blood gases (ABGs)
- Perform EKGs for inpatient and outpatient areas
- Support and assist with intubations and procedural bronchoscopy (not required to intubate independently)
- Float within the facility as needed to cover ED, ICU, and other inpatient units
- Participate in department orientation and preceptor-led shadowing
- Maintain professional standards and collaborate with the lead therapist, supervisors, and interdisciplinary care teams
