Job Requirements

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Valid Ohio state license as a Respiratory Therapist
• At least 1 year of recent hospital-based RRT experience (acute care/med-surg or ICU experience preferred)
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to complete all required onboarding health screenings and background checks
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical judgment skills
• Preferred skills (not required): ventilator management, arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation, pulmonary function testing

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients in a hospital setting, including assessment, treatment, and monitoring
• Provide oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and mechanical ventilation/ventilator management
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Participate in weaning protocols, airway management, and emergency response situations as needed
• Document all patient care activities accurately and promptly in the medical record
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
