Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 17, 2026)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 – $2,130
• Role: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) / Perioperative Nurse / Surgical Nurse
• Setting: Operating Room (14 OR rooms; average daily census 45)
• Shift: Days, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (8-hour shifts); 40 hours/week
• Call Requirement: 1–2 shifts every 6 weeks
• Charting System: Epic (Epic EMR experience preferred)
• Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience (perioperative nursing)
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Experience in Ortho, General, Neuro, Vascular, and Urology cases required
• Travel nursing experience preferred (travel nurse OR roles)
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• Experience with Epic charting system strongly preferred
• Experience with DaVinci robotic surgery, endovascular, or ophthalmic procedures is a plus
• Applicants must not reside in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative care to surgical patients in a busy OR environment
• Assist and circulate for a wide range of surgical procedures including orthopedic, general surgery, neurosurgery, vascular, and urology cases
• Participate in call rotation (1–2 shifts every 6 weeks)
• Perform accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical techs, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain strict adherence to hospital policies, perioperative standards, and patient safety protocols
• Adapt quickly to new clinical environments and demonstrate flexibility as a travel nurse
