- Setting: Hospital – Respiratory Unit (mechanical ventilation, ABG interpretation, ventilator management)
Job Details
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (option for 8 weeks)
- Start Date: May 25, 2026
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Coverage: As needed
- Floating: May float to other facilities in the Cleveland area as needed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or CRT/RRT
- NBRC certification (active and in hand at time of submission)
- Valid Ohio RRT license (active and in hand at time of submission)
- BLS certification (active and in hand at time of submission)
- Negative 10 Panel + Nicotine (Cotinine) drug screen required within 12 months of start
- Must be nicotine-free (facility is smoke-free)
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Two professional references from a manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty within the past 12 months
- All relevant work history (including any Cleveland Clinic positions) must be included in your profile
- Copies of required certifications (NBRC, Ohio license, BLS) must be included with submission
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in a hospital respiratory unit
- Perform respiratory assessments, treatments, and ordered diagnostic procedures
- Manage mechanical ventilation and ventilator adjustments per protocols
- Obtain and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and recommend clinical interventions
- Deliver advanced respiratory therapies and emergency airway management as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies and quality standards
- Complete required orientation, competency verification, and annual training modules
- Float to other facilities and work weekends or night shifts as required
