Required Qualifications (MRI Technologist / ARRT MR)
- Current ARRT (MR) certification required (Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist)
- Minimum 1 year MRI technologist experience; hospital experience preferred
- Active BLS (AHA or ARC)
- Experience operating Siemens MRI scanners required; Philips experience preferred
- Ability to start IVs and assist with contrast administration
- Familiarity with PACS (McKesson or Change Healthcare) and Meditech charting
- Must live more than 75 miles from the facility (strict radius rule applies)
- First-time travel MRI technologists welcome; Level II trauma or prior travel experience a plus
Key Responsibilities (MRI Tech / Radiology Technologist)
- Perform a wide range of MRI studies: musculoskeletal, neuro, abdominal/pelvis, oncology, and breast imaging
- Provide imaging for inpatients and outpatients, including ICU and NICU patients
- Operate Siemens MRI scanners and support transitions to Philips equipment as needed
- Complete ~30 scans per day following long protocols while ensuring image quality and patient safety
- Collaborate with radiologists (in-house day coverage, remote night coverage), radiology techs, and clinical teams
- Adhere to departmental policies, infection control, radiation safety practices, and dress code
- Document studies accurately in PACS and Meditech; follow contrast and IV documentation protocols
