- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,100 – $2,210
- Unit: Emergency Department (64 beds: trauma, acute, super track, CDU, and psych beds) — Emergency Department RN role
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience (Emergency Room Registered Nurse / ER RN), including pediatric exposure
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Active New York RN license required (NURSYS verification required)
- Current AHA certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC must be in hand)
- Experience with EPIC EMR (EPIC charting experience preferred)
- Charge nurse capability highly preferred — trauma nurse and leadership experience a plus
- Skills checklist matching specialty (Emergency Department skills)
- Valid driver’s license with matching address
- Ability to float to other units within scope of practice as needed
- Facility dress code: must wear navy blue scrubs
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients of all ages (newborn through geriatric) in a fast-paced Emergency Department — Emergency Department RN responsibilities
- Assess and respond to a wide range of emergency diagnoses, including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
- Provide pediatric emergency care when needed (pediatric exposure required)
- Use specialty emergency equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (physicians, techs, respiratory, case management) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Demonstrate leadership and charge nurse skills as needed; support unit flow and triage decisions
- Float to other units within scope of practice as required
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR — strong charting and documentation skills required
