• Location: Falls Church, VA 22042 (Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C. area)
• Start Date: April 27, 2026
• End Date: July 25, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: 8-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 5:30 AM (orientation days; then nights)
• On-Call: ~4 times/week; includes one 12-hour weekday and one weekend/month
• Holiday Coverage: 1 summer and 1 winter holiday required
• Floating: Within scope as needed
• EMR: Epic EMR access required

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,760 – $2,900

Job Requirements — CVOR RN / Circulating Nurse

• Active RN license valid for assignment state (Falls Church, VA)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association required)
• Minimum 3–5 years recent circulating nurse experience in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases
• CNOR certification preferred
• Experience with procedures including CABG (primary and redo), aortic aneurysm repair, AVR & MVR (primary and redo), TAVR, ECMO, VAD (adult required; pediatric a plus)
• Strong multitasking, critical thinking, and prioritization skills in the OR
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork abilities
• Willingness to work overtime and participate in ongoing research protocols

Primary Responsibilities — CVOR / Cardiac Surgery Nurse

• Circulate in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries as an integral member of the CVOR team
• Provide perioperative nursing care for advanced procedures: CABG, AVR/MVR, TAVR, ECMO, VAD
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and multidisciplinary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Demonstrate critical thinking, adaptability, and prioritization in a fast-paced OR environment
• Participate in departmental quality initiatives, safety programs, and research protocols
• Provide on-call coverage and participate in holiday rotations as required
