Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nurse Assignment in Wichita, KS. Provide compassionate end-of-life, hospice, and palliative care across Metro Wichita while enjoying a 13-week travel nursing opportunity.

- Location: Wichita, KS 67202 (serving a 50-mile radius across the 5-county Metro Wichita area)
- Assignment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel Assignment (Hospice RN)
- Start Date: May 4, 2026
- End Date: August 2, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8-hour day shifts
- Hours per Week: 40 (40-hour guarantee)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,870 – $1,970
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of hospice nursing experience required (home hospice or palliative care experience preferred)
- Experience using Homecare Homebase (HCHB) electronic medical records system
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (travel within a 50-mile radius required)
- Excellent communication, clinical documentation, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered hospice nursing care to patients in their homes across the Metro Wichita area
- Perform 20–25 patient visits per week, delivering high-quality symptom management and supportive end-of-life care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, social workers, aides, chaplains) to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on hospice philosophy, goals of care, medication management, and bereavement resources
- Document all care accurately and timely using the HCHB electronic medical record
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, clinical, and organizational standards for hospice and home health services
