Position Details — Respiratory Therapist (Travel)

- Setting: Hospital – Respiratory Therapy, General Care
- Location: Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711 (Northeast Pennsylvania / Pocono Mountains)
- Start Date: May 18, 2026
- End Date: August 16, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shifts: 3 × 12-hour day shifts per week (7:00am – 7:30pm)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday required
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830 – $1,970
Required Qualifications — Registered Respiratory Therapist / RRT
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist (hospital experience preferred)
- Current Pennsylvania Respiratory Therapist license (PA license required)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential
- BLS certification (AHA required)
- Preferred certifications: ACLS and PALS
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients in a hospital setting
- Assess, plan, and implement respiratory therapy interventions and treatment plans
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and therapy outcomes
- Participate in patient and family education regarding respiratory care and equipment
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
