Travel Nurse Job Details — Med/Surg RN

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930 - $2,030 (competitive travel nursing pay)
• Assignment Duration: 14 weeks (May 25, 2026 – August 29, 2026)
• Hours per Week: 36 hours
• Shift: 3x12 hour rotating day/night shifts (scheduled as needed), every other weekend, holidays, plus 2 on-call shifts per 4 weeks

Med/Surg RN Requirements — Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York State RN licensure (required for this New York nursing job)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or RQI only)
• NIHSS certification
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience as a Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN)

Responsibilities — Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN)

• Apply nursing theory, technical, and communication skills to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients
• Assess patient and family needs, develop individualized care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Provide direct patient care, evaluate progress, and coordinate care throughout the patient’s episode
• Educate patients and families on self-care, lifestyle changes, and post-discharge instructions
• Promote comfort and emotional support in a healing environment
• Advocate for patient safety, rights, and well-being
• Delegate tasks appropriately and ensure compliance with infection prevention strategies
• Engage in quality improvement activities and self-evaluation to enhance professional practice
• Administer medications and perform interventions as required (Med-Surg RN clinical skills)
