Required Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Oregon RN license (required upon submission)
- Healthcare Provider BLS certification (AHA)
- ONS Chemo/Bio card required for chemotherapy administration
- Minimum 6 months of outpatient infusion center experience required
- At least 1 year of nursing experience preferred; oncology or ambulatory care experience is a plus
- Proven IV/infusion nursing skills, familiarity with infusion pumps, and strong patient assessment abilities
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, patient-centered care for individuals receiving infusion therapies including chemotherapy, biologics, and antimicrobials
- Prepare and administer IV medications and chemotherapeutic agents per protocols and ONS guidelines
- Monitor patients for infusion reactions, manage side effects, and escalate concerns to interdisciplinary team members
- Educate patients and families on infusion therapies, side effect management, and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and adhere to infection control and safety standards
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and infusion center staff to optimize patient outcomes
