• Location: Manchester, NH 03103 — New Hampshire nursing jobs / travel nursing
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 5/11/2026 – End: 8/10/2026)
• Setting: Geropsychiatric Inpatient Unit (Locked Unit) — geriatric behavioral health, inpatient psychiatric nurse
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,660 – $1,750 (competitive travel RN pay)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire (NH)
• Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient geriatric psychiatric experience and medical-surgical experience (required)
• Travel RN experience required (no first-time travelers) — travel nursing experience preferred
• Certifications: BLS (AHA or Red Cross only) and CPI
• Experience with Epic electronic health record (Epic charting) and Voalte phone systems
• Clinical skills: Foley catheter insertion/management, wound care, medication administration, IV/fluids, and lift equipment use
• Comfort providing hands-on care for older adults with mobility deficits, incontinence, and complex behavioral health needs
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)

Responsibilities — Psychiatric RN / Geropsychiatric Duties

• Deliver direct nursing care to geriatric patients with psychiatric and cognitive diagnoses (dementia, psychosis, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, mood disorders)
• Monitor and assess patient status, perform routine safety checks (including 15-minute checks), and provide 1:1 observation as needed
• Administer medications, manage IV fluids, perform wound care, and catheterization
• Utilize lift equipment and provide incontinence care for patients with mobility challenges
• Document care accurately in Epic and communicate effectively using Voalte and interdisciplinary handoffs
• Float to adult behavioral health units or provide "helping hands" support during high census or staffing needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV team, physical therapy (PT), respiratory therapy (RT), pharmacy, and social services
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment in a locked unit setting — respond to panic alarms and participate in seclusion protocols per policy
